Africa systems integrator Simstream sets up local presence in Burundi

Gael Marronier, Chairman of Simstream Group, commented: “Simstream’s new franchise in Bujumbura, Burundi, will allow us to position the brand in East Africa, as part of our wider international expansion.

Simstream Group, the specialist network and IT security solutions company with operations based in Dubai, Paris and Kochin, announced its first international franchise, in Burundi, East Africa. The company aims to roll out its franchise business model to accelerate international expansion and build brand awareness in markets, including countries across East Africa, where it currently has no formal operating presence and a strong pipeline of business opportunities.

Simstream has implemented various complex systems, security and networking projects using satellite links from SES at National Oil Company of Congo, Bank of Central African States, Gabon Telecom, amongst others.

Simstream has grown rapidly from its base in France to open new business opportunities in the Middle East and Africa through its UAE company based in Dubai, from where it is working with a range of leading client companies. Simstream has already launched its first franchise in France and the first product Simstream Alert Management, works with some of the world’s leading companies in their fields, from Axa to Alstom.

Gael Marronier, Chairman of Simstream Group, commented: “Simstream’s new franchise in Bujumbura, Burundi, will allow us to position the brand in East Africa, as part of our wider international expansion. Our local franchise will help us position our Group Services Portfolio with the public and private sector enterprise markets; this includes everything from consulting to systems integration, our managed network services and T&D digital portfolio. We believe that the franchise approach will accelerate Simstream growth in those international markets where we operate but with no formal established local presence.”

Most recently, Simstream acquired a software and applications development company in Sharjah, UAE, to support the launch of the new SimstreamT&D division as part of the company’s regional expansion plan. SimstreamT&D comprises a team of developers and engineers developing new digital services across a range of technology platforms including online, Cloud, ERP and mobile app development.

Simstream UAE is a fully owned subsidiary, creating innovative, in-house designed and developed digital solutions for business. Simstream Group was founded in France in 2000, specialising in complex IT projects and in multicultural environments in challenging markets, where an external perspective and innovative approach is required. The service portfolio comprises IT governance, project management and consulting.
