Desco shines at Dell Tech Forum

Desco Electronic Recyclers, a leader in sustainable e-waste management, has announced the success of its participation at the Dell Tech Forum held recently at the Kyalami International Convention Centre.

In partnership with the e-Waste Recycling Authority (ERA), a non-profit company (NPC), the event attracted about 3000 leaders and decision-makers from Dell’s global supply chain. It provided Desco with a unique platform to showcase its innovative e-waste recycling initiatives.

The Dell Tech Forum brought together key figures from a wide range of sectors to explore sustainability practices in the context of emerging technologies, with a particular focus on Artificial Intelligence.

This year’s forum highlighted Dell’s on-going commitment to responsible sourcing and reducing the environmental impact of technology, including its on-going efforts in e-waste recycling.

Desco’s participation in the event showcased its alignment with Dell’s sustainability mission, which emphasises sustainable material sourcing through recycling and reusing raw materials generated from e-waste. Desco’s advanced e-waste recycling solutions, focused on the environmentally responsible dismantling, repurposing and recycling of electronic waste, attracted significant interest from delegates.

By promoting ethical recycling, Desco is helping to ensure hazardous materials don’t end up in landfills, while valuable metals and components are reintegrated into production cycles.

Desco’s Director, Giulio Airaga, said: “It was an incredible opportunity to engage with like-minded professionals who are equally committed to sustainability and responsible technology use. The forum showcased the power of collaboration in advancing sustainable practices and we’re proud to partner with Dell in this important movement.

“We will continue to promote sustainable e-waste recycling and help companies meet their environmental compliance goals. Our team is excited to keep the momentum from this successful event and further engage with the broader tech community on integrating sustainable practices into their operations,” he concluded.
