Fortinet to emphasise cybersecurity solutions at GISEC 2017

Alain Penel, Regional Vice President, Middle East

Fortinet, the global leader in high-performance cybersecurity solutions, will utilise its presence at GISEC 2017 to encourage CIO’s and CISO’s to review their cybersecurity strategies and operational posture in the face of an ever-increasing and challenging threat landscape. At the heart of Fortinet’s presence is the Fortinet Security Fabric which delivers a broad, powerful and automated security solution needed to solve today’s challenges while laying the foundation for the self-sufficient, Intent-Based Network Security that will be critical to protect tomorrow’s enterprises.

Fortinet will be located in the Zabeel Hall 4 on Stand B15, where security experts will be present to meet with IT decision makers to discuss security strategies and demonstrate the working and benefits of the Security Fabric. GISEC takes place at the Dubai World Trade Centre from 21-23 May, 2017.

“Zero-day attacks are emerging as the weapon of choice for cybercriminals. Organisations today require not only a fast and secure network, but also to be prepared to counter such attacks without incurring massive losses. Whether or not you have the right protection, immediately responding to threats throughout your network can determine if your business runs smoothly or if it is the victim of a security breach,” said Alain Penel, Regional Vice President, Middle East, Fortinet.

“While cyberthreats are becoming more powerful, networks are becoming more disjointed and complex and so is the need for effective and responsive security solutions. Our participation at GISEC will allow us to address a large, focused audience on how the Fortinet Security Fabric gives them control, integration and easy management of security across the entire organisation, from IoT to the cloud.”

The Fortinet Security Fabric has been designed to provide a security framework that utilises advanced threat intelligence sharing and an open architecture to tie security and networking components into a single, automated and proactive defence and response system. It also enables businesses to seamlessly integrate new technologies as they are developed so networks can quickly implement the latest security strategies and solutions. And perhaps most promising, it represents a strategy for ‘future proofing’, i.e, the ability to seamlessly add advanced techniques and technologies as they emerge, without throwing out existing enterprise.

Today, Fortinet is the only company with security solutions for network, endpoint, application, data centre, cloud and access designed to work together as an integrated and collaborative security fabric. This also means Fortinet is the only company that can truly provide you with a powerful, integrated end-to-end security solution across the entire attack surface.
