flyEgypt selects PAYFORT as its payment provider

Egypt’s hybrid airline flyEgypt has selected PAYFORT’s innovative payment services to offer more payment options and an enhanced booking experience for passengers.

PAYFORT, an Amazon company, has announced that flyEgypt, a Cairo based hybrid airline chose PayFort’s payment services to scale its business faster, supporting its expansion and companywide innovation and to deliver payment experiences for their customers.

The new solution will also allow the airline to focus on their core values of customer focus and excellence in performance in a way that further improves both passenger experience and payment success ratios.

“Beyond the legislative challenges that affect everyone in the industry, the biggest challenge we face is a lack of local and regional understanding of the low cost carrier /hybrid business model, which is why we chose PAYFORT as our preferred payment service provider,” said Captain Ihab El Tahtawi, CEO at flyEgypt.

“As we continue to grow, and for the convenience of our customers, it becomes increasingly important for us to have a reliable payment services provider and to widen the range of payment channels available to customers online, whilst keeping the transaction process easy-to-use.

“The scale that flyEgypt deals with means that customer payment transactions are just one element of this process, and we rely on PAYFORT to support us with its vast knowledge and expertise, not only with the airline industry but also international banks, technology providers and card schemes, as we continue to evolve our business.”

Omar Soudodi, Managing Director of PAYFORT, said: “Leading companies in the airlines space are choosing PAYFORT for its operational excellence, constant availability, sustained scalability and innovative set of payment services that are proven to increase conversion, increase affordability and reduce cost, so that they can focus on their core business.

“Payfort persistently works to improve its services and flyEgypt can now rely on PAYFORT to help increase the Payment Success Ratio (PSR) of the ticketing process, not only on a transaction level, but also by taking advantage of advice on how to enhance the customer experience.

“Customers will also now be able to use local payment methods such as Egypt’s national debit card MEEZA and KSA’s national mada debit card. We are excited to expand our strategic relationship with flyEgypt, working closely to enable innovation at scale and fueling the carrier’s Digital Transformation.”

The PAYFORT solution will allow customers to make payments using globally recognised payment leaders such as credit and debit cards, plus Egypt’s national debit card MEEZA and Saudi Arabia’s national payment card, mada. Additional payment networks – namely Installments, FAWRY and SADAD   – will be added in the near future.

PAYFORT’s operational expertise, scalability and industry-leading services and solutions empower flyEgypt to focus on driving an increase of the Electronic Payment Ratio (EPR), decreasing cost of payment transactions and enhancing conversion ratios, as well as drive more traffic to the website.
