Pan African DataCentres exhibition and conference, incorporating Cloud Solutions Africa, heralded as a great success

The second edition of the Pan African DataCentres event was heralded as a success by exhibitors, visitors and speakers alike, as it delivered more attendees, more content and more delegates than ever before.

The Pan African DataCentres Event, delivered nearly 1500 attendees across the two days of the event, from 29 countries, this is a growth of over 40% year on year.

Part of this growth was the addition of Cloud Solutions Africa, which was launched as a free to attend conference addressing more on “How to choose the right data centre supplier for your needs and how they can assist you in taking your cloud solution to the continent and beyond.” Whilst this event was open to all including attendees to the Pan African DataCentres event it also attracted a dedicated Cloud Solutions Africa audience of over 200.

The number of individual stands also grew from 28 stands in 2023 to 36 individual stands in 2024 representing over 60+ companies and their various products and services.

The Pan African DataCentres event (inc. Cloud Solutions Africa) provided a safe, secure, clean, and structured environment, where attendees were able to network with colleagues, see the latest in products, services, technology, and equipment and listen to industry leaders and experts discussing the latest, issues, approaches and ideas affecting Data Centres and Critical Environments across the continent.

Exhibitors commented on the quality of attendees present at the event as well as the lack of time wasters at the show, which gave them more time to engage with buyers, discuss their needs and forge lasting business contacts and relationships.

The total attendance rose from 1025 last year to 1499 this year. This is an increase of 46.2%!

The conference programme featured over 75 international and local experts and industry leaders. The conference sessions addressed a wide range of issues from; Data Centre Development, Site Selection, Data Centre Design, Continuity of Power, Cooling through to Training & Staff Retention, the impact of AI on Data Centres as well as Decarbonisation and Energy Reduction to name but a few.

The importance of the Conference sessions to the delivery of quality attendees should not be underestimated, as many attendees had planned the timing and length of stay to allow them to hear particular papers or panel discussions.

Anecdotally, a number of speakers and delegates stated that the range of presentations, depth of content and quality of speakers makes the Pan African DataCentres event one of the world leading conference’s from a delegate’s perspective.
