Avaya H1 2016 performance lifted as global SMBs embrace digital solutions

A focused solution suite, coupled with a strong partner proposition and a streamlined approach, has resulted in strong growth in Africa, Middle East, Turkey, Russia and CIS, India and SAARC, and China.

Avaya’s performance in the first half of 2016 has been bolstered by a strong middle market showing in global growth regions, registering two-fold growth on the back of a strong push towards digital transformation among small and medium businesses. A focused solution suite, coupled with a strong partner proposition and a streamlined approach, has resulted in strong growth in Africa, Middle East, Turkey, Russia and CIS, India and SAARC, and China.

Avaya’s partners have largely steered this outreach, supported by Avaya’s unique iConnect middle market programme, which enables partners to move from product and price based offerings to solution selling of business relevant IT infrastructure with the overlay of a consulting and services layer. The Avaya iConnect programme also gives partners access to marketing and technical training and support.

Earlier this year, Avaya introduced the first complete, multi-channel unified communications and contact centre cloud offers targeted at the middle market. It enables Avaya channel partners to seamlessly evolve midsize companies to the advanced capabilities needed by digital businesses. This brings businesses more control over expenses, and greater control over the speeds at which they migrate fully to the cloud, and how quickly they can bring additional sites, applications, and capabilities online.

“The SMB segment is widely recognised as a key contributor to economic growth and development in the region. According to the IDC BlackBook, SMBs in the Middle East account for about 46% of total enterprise IT spending. Digital transformation is top of their agenda as they look towards transformational technology such as cloud and mobility to become cost efficient and agile to meet demands and stay competitive,” Paul Black, Director of Telecoms, Media and IoT, IDC Middle East, Turkey and Africa.

“The middle market sector continues to present a significant opportunity and remain so even in the face of economic uncertainty, as they use the opportunity to boost their operational efficiency and build competitive differentiation. Avaya channel partners play a crucial role in this growth with their established knowledge of the customer, ability to create a customized offering, and their expertise with Avaya products. We remain committed to empowering our partners as they address the needs of the customer with business ready digital transformation solutions,” Khalid Khan, Middle Market Director, Asia, Middle East and Africa, Avaya.

Avaya Middle Market Cloud Solutions is the latest in a series of Avaya programs focusing on enabling channel partners and midsize companies evolve their communications to meet the requirements for today’s mobile, digital business. Customers can expect simplicity, value for money, and improved business outcomes from their digital transformation investment.
