ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC) Philippines says the first phase of operations for its STT Fairview 1 data center is on track to be ready for service by Q2 2025.
Upon full completion, the STT Fairview campus will be the largest data center in the Philippines, with a total IT capacity of 124MW.
Fairview 1 is designed to meet rising demand for AI workloads in the Philippines.
“We remain committed to delivering on our project timelines. Last year, we projected that STT Fairview would be ready in the first part of 2025, and we are on schedule to deliver the initial capacity by Q2 2025,” said Carlo Malana, President and CEO, STT GDC Philippines.
AI is seen to contribute 12% or about US$92 billion to the Philippines’ GDP by 2030.
As a joint venture between Globe, Ayala Corporation and Singapore-based ST Telemedia Global Data Centres, STT GDC Philippines plays a critical role in the region’s digital infrastructure.
“Our designs are built around the current and future requirements of hyperscalers and our ability to deliver on our commitments is underpinned by the ongoing development of local technical talent,” Malana said.
Sustainability is a key pillar of STT GDC Philippines’ growth strategy with the company integrating innovative technologies and practices to minimize environmental impact while enhancing operational efficiency and infrastructure resilience.
