National Telecom (NT) in Thailand has chosen Radware to increase the cyber-defenses surrounding its international telecommunications infrastructure.
The Thai state-owned telecommunications company supports over 25,000 telecommunication towers nationwide, underwater cables, underground conduits, fiber optic cables and 13 data centers.
The company has been modernizing its infrastructure by deploying 5G, laying a strong fiber-optic network for broadband, and establishing Wi-Fi hotspots across towns and villages. The company turned to Radware to mitigate volumetric DDoS attacks across its on-premise and cloud environments as well as to improve application performance and protection.
“Advancing the customer experience safely and securely is at the core of our technological transformation,” said Worawat Songwiwat, NT’s Senior Director for Cybersecurity and the cloud service operation sector.
“We selected Radware because of the efficiency and reliability of its application delivery and DDoS mitigation solutions as well as its high-capacity global DDoS scrubbing network. The flexibility of Radware’s deployment model was also an important factor in our decision.”
For network security, the company deployed Radware’s DefensePro and Cloud DDoS Protection solutions. Radware’s enterprise-grade Cloud DDoS Protection Service speeds time to detection and protection from today’s most dynamic DDoS threats.
DefensePro provides automated protection against Burst, DNS and TLS/SSL attacks as well as ransom DDoS campaigns, IoT botnets, phantom floods and other types of cyberthreats.
