Indosat Ooredoo selects Ericsson Digital Monetization Platform

Indosat Ooredoo, an Indonesian communications service provider, has selected the Ericsson Digital Monetization Platform (DMP) business support systems (BBS) solution in a five-year deal.

The deal spans charging, billing, product catalog, order care, multi-mediation and dynamic activation, and DMP Converged Charging and Billing will enable rating and monetization of dynamic plans for Ooredoo customers and enterprise services.

The BSS deal builds on a long partnership between Indosat Ooredoo and Ericsson. The companies have partnered on 2G, 3G, 4G and recent 5G trials.

In July of this year Indosat Ooredoo launched AI-powered data driven and customer-centric managed network operations through the Ericsson Operations Engine.

Medhat Elhusseiny, Chief Technology and Information Officer, Indosat Ooredoo, said: “The Digital Transformation of our BSS using DMP will enable micro-services architecture and simplify our business processes which will help us to focus more on digital service excellence.

“DMP will provide personalized product offering and flexible integration of third-party services which will enable our customers to enjoy our new services more quickly and efficiently. This partnership will drive agility and innovation to continue enhancing our customer experience for both consumers and enterprises.”

Jerry Soper, Head of Ericsson Indonesia, said: “Ericsson’s Digital Monetization Platform will empower Indosat Ooredoo to monetize assets while meeting customer demands with new offers and enable flexibility to meet market demands.”
