Cire Services, a not-for-profit organisation based in Victoria, is leveraging the integrated features of Blackboard’s LMS and virtual classroom solutions.
Cire Services has selected Blackboard’s cloud learning management system (LMS), Blackboard Learn and its virtual classroom solution, Blackboard Collaborate, to drive student achievement.
After an evaluation of the most relevant online learning solutions in the market the education non-profit organisation determined that Blackboard’s integrated solutions best fit its long-term strategy to transition to an online delivery model.
“We are pleased that Cire Services selected Blackboard as its strategic partner to deliver a more collaborative and connected teaching and learning ecosystem for its faculty and students,” said Yves Dehouck Vice President for Asia Pacific at Blackboard. “Our fully integrated LMS and virtual classroom solutions will help Cire Services achieve its long-term strategy to transition to an online delivery model to better serve its students.”
As one of the largest not-for-profit organisations in the Yarra Ranges region near Melbourne, Victoria, Cire Services delivers learning to a diverse range of people of all ages and socio-economic backgrounds. The organisation provides education and training programs, community programs and services to hundreds of students.
“We are pleased to partner with Blackboard to provide our students with an integrated learning environment,” said Gus Seremetis, Chief Executive Officer at Cire Services. “The limited functionality and design of our previous LMS was a challenge for us, particularly as we went entirely online due to COVID-19 restrictions. We selected Blackboard because its integrated LMS and virtual classroom features enables us to glean critical usage data within a fully integrated system, empowering us to better meet the needs of our students.”
Cire Services is leveraging Blackboard’s next-generation cloud-based LMS, Blackboard Learn with the Ultra experience, which delivers a simpler, more powerful teaching and learning experience. The organisation is also using Blackboard Collaborate, a simple and reliable virtual classroom tool built specifically for education and includes a vast array of features such as chat, digital whiteboard, HD video and audio and desktop and application sharing.
