Speller Metcalfe, one of the UK’s leading construction companies based in the Midlands, is to build a multi-million-pound cybersecurity centre in Hereford, Herefordshire.
The new Cyber Quarter Midlands Centre for Cyber Security has been designed by Associated Architects and is a joint venture between The University of Wolverhampton and Herefordshire Council. The centre will be based at Skylon Park in the Hereford Enterprise Zone.
The building will offer a three-storey research space and teaching building for the univerity’s Cyber Security Research Institute. It will also provide office space for up to 20 local cybersecurity businesses. The main three-storey building will house business suites, innovation rooms, IT workshops and a ‘cyber range’ – a cutting-edge facility that will defend against the global rise of hacking.
The project is set to be completed in summer 2020.
