Boldyn Networks, one of the world’s largest neutral host providers, has announced its partnership with Telepass to support the development of the 2024-2028 Smart City Plan by Europe’s leading mobility payment provider.
The plan will involve 189 urban parking facilities across 95 Italian municipalities. Boldyn Networks will play a key role in the planning, supply, installation and maintenance of approximately 600 beacons – essential tools for the operation of advanced management systems – and will ensure the connectivity required to develop Telepass’ solution.
The initiative will leverage the synergies offered by 5G networks to enhance connectivity and improve the efficiency of parking systems. This will enable the company to expand its value proposition to the participating municipalities, fostering new opportunities for growth and innovation in the field of smart mobility.
The implementation process includes an activation phase for parking facilities, with technical assessments and installations carried out in line with advanced technological standards. This will be followed by careful post-sales management, including merchant training, remote infrastructure monitoring and maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.
“With this collaboration, we reaffirm our role as a leader in urban innovation,” said Antonino Ruggiero, CEO of Boldyn Networks in Italy. “This project is a strategic priority for us as it strengthens our position in the Smart City sector, a market with significant growth potential.”
