With Dexory’s robots capturing high quality data of the entire site and feeding it to the DexoryView platform, Vente-unique.com now has real-time information about inventory levels, storage locations and item movements across its entire warehouse. We asked Cyrille Mazal, Supply Chain, Customer Service and Data Director, Vente-unique.com, further questions to find out more.
How has the integration of Dexory’s robots and DexoryView platform transformed your warehouse operations compared to the previous drone-based solution?
With the DexoryView solution, we are now able to get detailed information on a daily basis of the warehouse and our stock integrity. Our organisation is focused on delivering excellent customer experiences and Dexory is helping us meet this demand.
Compared to our previous drone-based system we used, we were able to carry out a full stock check every quarter, however, with the use of the autonomous robots, we complete two stock takes per week, which has improved the accuracy of our warehouse operations to 99.9%. The robots run from 5pm to 5am and we carry out any corrections and investigations highlighted by the system during the day.
What specific challenges in fulfilment speed and accuracy were you facing before adopting Dexory’s technology, and how have these been addressed?
Through using DexoryView, we are now able to get actionable insights into our operations and we are able to spot any errors before they start to cause an issue with order fulfilment that in turn impacts customer satisfaction. We are able to get notifications on issues in real-time, that in turn helps us to notify our drivers and operators of these issues.
We are now starting to look into how we can use the system to better understand how densely our racks are utilised and how much space we have available and whether there are ways that we can optimise some of our inventory so that we can carry the right level of stock.
Can you elaborate on how real-time data capture has enhanced your ability to optimise inventory levels and streamline warehouse workflows?
As mentioned before, we have been able to achieve 99.9% stock accuracy with Dexory. Through the scans and the DexoryView platform, we can easily identify where there are any errors or discrepancies within the warehouse. This reduces the teams’ time on investigations as we know immediately if there is stock stored in the wrong location, or if there are goods that need to be moved closer to the picking locations.
The solution has allowed us to streamline these workflows and reduce the time we spend on stock takes. Previously it would take us two to three days to carry out a wall-to-wall stock take, but we now have access to real-time data that we are looking to use in optimising the way our goods are stored.
In what ways has improved warehouse accuracy contributed to customer satisfaction and Vente-unique.com’s reputation for award-winning service?
During a busy period with Black Friday sales in 2024, we were able to fulfill all of our orders as we knew exactly what stock we had available and were able to get goods to our customers. We were able to ship everything in good time to ensure the items arrived to customers when they were told their goods would be delivered.
We anticipate that Dexory will allow us to maintain the level of accuracy and help us carry out regular checks of our warehouse quickly and efficiently, which in turn will allow us to send goods to customers as fast as possible.
How do you foresee this partnership with Dexory evolving, and are there plans to expand the use of this technology across other areas of your supply chain?
We are currently exploring how we can use the system to understand how we are utilising space and whether there are ways that we can optimise our warehouse for even better efficiency. This would mean understanding how we can move goods around to free-up space and what space we have available for incoming goods. We are also looking at whether we can use the system to analyse and check bulkier goods.
