MasOrange entrusts Kyndryl with platform modernisation

Kyndryl, one of the world’s largest IT infrastructure services provider, and MasOrange, the largest telecommunications operator in Spain by number of customers, has signed a six-year agreement to modernise the technological environment that supports the operator’s business.

This will enable MasOrange’s employees, collaborators and customers to develop a new generation of applications and services on a flexible, security-rich platform.

The recent merger of MASMOVIL and Orange created the opportunity to integrate and modernise the new company’s combined computing environment.

It also made it possible to incorporate new technologies, such as AI and hybrid cloud computing, to create a more powerful platform for MasOrange to drive innovation that will enhance the customer experience.

For example, Kyndryl will collaborate with MasOrange in the construction of an open architectural platform that will allow it to leverage investments in technology and talent to develop and offer new services to customers in private and public organisations.

David Soto, President of Kyndryl Spain and Portugal, said: “We look forward to working with MasOrange to create an advanced technological platform on which to build innovation-forward digital services for its customers using the most modern 5G network in Spain.”

Under the agreement, Kyndryl’s advisory services, Kyndryl Consult, will work with MasOrange’s team in executing its modernisation strategy.
