Vertiv, a global provider of critical digital infrastructure and continuity solutions, has announced the availability of the Vertiv Aisle Containment System in Latin America.
This solution provides data center containment in order to prevent the cool air supplied by air conditioning systems to mix with the hot air expelled by equipment. The way this environment is managed directly impacts data center costs, and therefore the costs of the services offered by a given provider to the market.
Thermal loss means waste of electricity, one of the major costs in data centers. Studies conducted by Vertiv’s engineering team show that the use of the Vertiv Aisle Containment System can increase energy efficiency by 30%.
The most common configuration for this solution is to install the Aisle Containment System in the area where equipment is positioned across from other equipment within an aisle format. Vertiv’s Aisle Containment System solution is suitable for all data center racks available in the market, including equipment of different heights.
“The system helps customers from the most diverse segments – from hyperscale sites dedicated to colocation to modular data centers supporting Edge Computing applications in hospitals, schools and government agencies – to meet their business and energy efficiency goals,” said Rafael Garrido, VP, Vertiv Latin America.
