Schneider Electric’s Digital Energy Training Center is celebrating 12 years of operation.
It has certified more than 1,500 people from different parts of the world in the fields of building automation, energy management, control of lighting and protection, besides receiving the KNX certification.
A certified KNX training center is one that has adopted the Certification Scheme of the KNX Association. This scheme ensures that all affiliates follow a minimum set of requirements, including the demand for comfort and versatility in managing heating, lighting and access control systems for an office complex through efficient energy use.
Daniela Mora, Director of Digital Energy for the Andean Cluster, Schneider Electric, said: “We are proud to continue innovating in these issues and thus contributing to aspects such as the decarbonization of building operations thanks to the willingness of different companies that invest in education with the highest technology in Latin America.”
This training center is one of the few in Latin America that exists as a private sector contribution and offers a range of training courses.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, 250 people were certified, including technicians and professionals from Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, Argentina, Chile, Costa Rica and Panama.
“These results challenge us to continue working to promote innovation and specialization in the sector,” said Mora.
