Igreja Nova is one of the oldest municipalities in the state of Alagoas, with a history linked to the exploration of the São Francisco River by fishermen who came from Penedo in the 19th century.
It was the city chosen by Vibe Tecnologia, a provider of Internet services in Alagoas, to deploy its first FTTH fiber optic network with a pre-connectorized solution from Furukawa.
David Cavalcante Rodrigues, Owner, Vibe Tecnologia, said: “The main objective was to minimize problems such as the lack of specialized technicians for network installation.”
For this reason, he himself installed the aerial infrastructure of the fiber optic networks in the cities served by the company. The first was Campo Alegre, in the countryside, four years ago.
Last year, Vibe Tecnologia began to expand its operations to other municipalities in Alagoas and decided to try the pre-connectorized solution from Furukawa in Igreja Nova.
“As it already comes with factory-ready connectors and eliminates the need for field fusion, the solution greatly facilitates network installation. And you do not need a highly trained professional to do this job,” said Rodrigues.
With the training provided by Furukawa, he and a technician from Vibe Tecnologia installed the network in Igreja Nova, currently with 170 points in 12 locations. Regarding the quality of the service provided by the network, Rodrigues states that customer feedback has been positive.
