Telecom Argentina has joined the GSMA’s global Open Gateway initiative, confirming its commitment to promote innovation and facilitate the development of digital applications and services that accelerate the development of the digital economy.
Driven by the GSMA, the global organization that unifies the mobile and digital ecosystem, and with the support of 25 other leading operators from around the world, Open Gateway proposes to build, through the development of APIs (Application Programmable Interfaces), interoperable access to capabilities of network platforms and systems of Communications Service Providers (CSPs).
With this standardized access, developers, start-ups and cloud application providers, through open and standardized interfaces, will be able to innovate by creating new functionalities and applications.
The GSMA Open Gateway will help developers and cloud providers to improve and deploy services faster on carrier networks through single points of access to the world’s largest connectivity platform.
“At the GSMA, our vision is to unlock the full power of connectivity for people, industry and society to thrive. To achieve this, collaboration is key. As we lead the way in the era of intelligent connectivity, this year we launched the GSMA Open Gateway, an initiative that will help enhance and create new digital services and accelerate the development of immersive technologies,” said Lara Dewar, GSMA CMO.
“We welcome Telecom Argentina to the Open Gateway initiative and I am really excited to see what the future holds for us.”
