Kefreen Batista, VP of Technologies, Globant, says 2024 brings ‘good prospects’ the Brazilian IT market – with growth expected to lead among the Americas.
According to the latest IDC report, Brazil is expected to advance with an expansion of 12%, ahead of the general average of Latin America.
Batista said: “The technological landscape continues to be full of promise, opening up a vast field for innovations that will shape the future of business and the way we interact with the digital world – and it’s coming faster than we realize.
Batista’s top five 2024 LATAM tech trends are:
1. AI: “2024 signals a significant change in using this technology in different innovative ways to improve results, manage resources and differentiate customer experiences,” he says.
2. Quantum: “Applications in data- and computing-rich sectors, such as finance and pharmaceutical research, are expected to lead the way in the use of this tool.”
3. Robotics: “Organizations will begin to adopt robots-as-a-service (RaaS), marking a transition to versatile and optimized tasks.”
4. Blockchain: “The true rise of this front will depend on the support of governments and public agencies.”
5. Immersive experiences: “We will witness a steady interest in the metaverse, reaching its apex with the launch of the Apple Vision Pro in the first quarter. As a result, the main players will continue to invest, aiming to transform immersive experiences into an everyday interaction, opening frontiers in digital interconnection.”
