Telecom Argentina and Nokia confirm new collaboration agreement monetization

Telecom Argentina and Nokia have confirmed a collaboration agreement in which the Network as Code platform with Nokia’s developer portal will enable new developer-created use cases for consumers, enterprises and industries in LATAM markets.

The agreement will help foster the GSMA’s Open Gateway ecosystem in LATAM etwork operations.

Based on this agreement, Telecom Argentina will be able to carry out technical tests and develop use cases to improve and implement services more quickly in Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay.

The Network as Code platform with developer portal was created using technical standards produced through industry initiatives such as the GSMA’s Open Gateway.

The platform is based on a revenue-sharing model between developers, operators and Nokia as the platform provider.

Nokia has signed collaboration agreements with 10 network operators and ecosystem partners to use the platform since its launch in September 2023.

Shkumbin Hamiti, Head of Network Monetization Platform, Network Services and Cloud, Nokia, said: “Telecom Argentina has been a key partner of Nokia for many years in the region and we look forward to enhancing their network monetization efforts and recruiting developers to create new use cases and additional value for their customers.”

Roberto Nobile, CEO of Telecom Argentina and member of the GSMA Board, said: “Since last year, as GSMA Open Gateway Champions in Argentina, we have been actively participating and reaffirming our commitment to fostering innovation and facilitating the development of applications and services that drive the advancement of the digital economy.”
