Claro Colombia has announced that its 5G home Internet service is now available in five new cities: Bogotá, Cali, Cartagena, Barranquilla and Bucaramanga.
This expansion follows the successful launch in Medellín, consolidating Claro as a pioneer in offering this innovative technology in the country and expanding the use of the network for new purposes.
With this expansion, millions of Colombian households and businesses will be able to enjoy a high-speed Internet connection to educate themselves, entertain themselves and operate their businesses.
The service, which includes 160 GB of navigation and an easy-to-install 5G WiFi modem, allows up to 10 devices to be connected simultaneously, at a cost of US$79,900 per month and will be available in Claro’s 5G coverage areas in each city.
Rodrigo de Gusmao, President of Claro Colombia, said: “With this expansion we reaffirm our commitment to offer the best connectivity solutions and contribute to the digital development of the country, with technology and making investments so that more Colombians can be connected. In June we were the first operator to announce this service with a test in Medellín and today it is already a reality for the other five cities that have Claro’s 5G technology,”
The company will expand its 5G network to 14 more cities in the coming months, reaching a total of 20 with this technology in 2024.
