Embratel and Claro boosts São Paulo Formula 1 with advanced 5G and Wi-Fi solutions

Embratel, the official telecommunications and IT supplier of the São Paulo F1 Grand Prix (GP), has integrated and enabled the event’s digital ecosystem with its digital solutions and Claro’s latest technology.

This year, in one of the most anticipated stages of the competition, Embratel delivered the latest in terms of technology integrated into fixed, mobile and digital solutions platforms, meeting the high quality of services and solutions demanded by the GP.

With this, the public had an even more differentiated experience with a mobile network with maximum speed and excellent data and video transmission. GP São Paulo took place from November 3 to 5 at the Autódromo de Interlagos and that was the 17th time that Embratel was a strategic technological partner.

“As a leader in the corporate segment and with extensive experience in providing solutions for large events, we are always seeking to deliver the most innovative to the GP,” said José Formoso, CEO of Embratel.

He highlighted that Embratel went beyond the conventional to offer bespoke services that allowed training and racing to be shared and experienced by those at the racetrack like never before.

“We are very proud to once again be part of this global event that connects fans, drivers and teams with cutting-edge technology,” he stated.

Reinforcing its commitment to providing innovative Digital Solutions, in 2023, Embratel brought Wi-Fi 6 to strategic areas of the event, ensuring greater efficiency, connection capacity and density of connected devices with high-level technology. Furthermore, the public who followed the competition from the stands and other areas of the racetrack benefited from the numerous advantages of Claro’s 5G network.

Embratel also delivered its solutions for the interconnection of the racetrack to a data center to enable agile and stable traffic of large volumes of data. Embratel provided a Wi-Fi network for the press room and photo room. Journalists and photographers who covered the event had robust infrastructure for transmitting news and images, uploading high-quality content and other benefits. Special areas of the racetrack, such as the Grand Prix Club, Interlagos Suites, Terrace Club and Diamond Club had wireless Internet access.

Strategic areas had integrated voice, data and Internet systems for communication between teams and organizers. This entire infrastructure received constant support from a specialized technical team to ensure the service’s success with high performance and real-time monitoring.

“F1 is an event with global reach and, therefore, communication and data transmission play a crucial role,” said Alan Adler, CEO of GP São Paulo de F1. According to the CEO, Embratel’s support provided quality, efficiency and speed in delivery, which were essential for the event.

“We were happy to work with Embratel again and provide maximum experience to everyone involved,” he said.
