In Ecuador, young companies are making progress in digital transformation, while large ones, especially family-owned ones, are still facing difficulties in accelerating this change.
Cirion Technologies, in collaboration with Sybven, held a talk aimed at business leaders in Ecuador, focused on digital transformation as a key to process optimization and operational efficiency.
During the session, Magdalena De Luca, CEO, Sybven, highlighted that true optimization begins with simplifying processes and making decisions based on real data.
“The key is not just to digitize old processes but to redesign them to adapt to new market dynamics and maximize their impact.”
In addition, she stressed the importance of companies focusing on value generation – eliminating inefficient activities that slow down their growth.
Sebastián Albán Barrera, Voice and Collaboration Lead Sales Engineer, Cirion Technologies, complemented this vision by explaining that data centers and cloud solutions offer unique opportunities to scale operations without compromising efficiency or security.
“The migration of key processes to the cloud allows companies to manage their information more securely and operate in a more agile way, optimizing both costs and resources,” said Albán Barrera.
The talk also highlighted the importance of adopting automation and digital collaboration tools that facilitate the integration of processes. De Luca emphasized that companies must adopt technologies that allow them to be more flexible, responding quickly to market demands.
For his part, Albán Barrera remarked that modern data centers allow not only to maintain operational continuity but also to improve the customer experience through efficient digital services.
Both experts agreed that digital transformation should be seen as a strategic investment, aimed at optimizing each area of the business. De Luca stressed that the intelligent use of technology allows companies to be more competitive and create new opportunities in an ever-evolving environment. “Innovation is not an option, but a necessity to remain relevant in the market,” he said.
He added that, although many Ecuadorian companies, especially younger ones, are already advancing in this process, other more traditional ones still face challenges in adapting.
“Companies that don’t accelerate their transformation risk falling behind and irreversibly losing customers.”
