Cloudflare consolidates its presence in Mexico

Cloudflare has confirmed steady growth in the Mexican market, following a year of investment and expansion.

Since expanding its Latin American operations in Mexico City a year ago, Cloudflare has increased its network infrastructure in Mexico with a new data center in Guadalajara, as well as increasing its integrations with the region’s leading customers and partners and establishing a strong cross-functional employee base.

This past quarter, Cloudflare served an average of 50 billion Internet requests per day in Mexico. At the same time, the volume of cyberattacks and their sophistication are constantly increasing. In the third quarter of 2024, Cloudflare blocked an average of 99 million cyber threats per day, which were targeting Mexico, a 35% increase compared to the previous quarter. In the context of a landscape as complex as this one, organizations throughout Mexico face a series of weaknesses, due to siloed cloud solutions that hinder creation, scalability and security.

“Cloudflare’s first year operating on the ground in Mexico City laid a solid foundation that reinforced the confidence of our customers and partners across the Latin American technology ecosystem,” said Carlos Torales, Head of Latin America, Cloudflare.

“We’ve been deepening the Cloudflare connectivity cloud platform integrations used by organizations across industries, boosting our ever-expanding infrastructure network within the region. Looking ahead, we continue to focus on Cloudflare’s innovation and expand partnerships to bring our all-in-one solution to more Mexican companies so they can protect and scale their operations globally.”
