Cirion reinforces its commitment to sustainable growth and creating a positive impact on communities in Latin America, while monitoring progress against its goals.
Ciron Technologies has released its second Sustainability Report, highlighting the company’s ESG goals, sustainable practices and progress, as well as its ongoing commitment to sustainability, ethical governance, and positive social impact.
The report follows recognized international standards, such as the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
“Our ESG strategy not only involves reducing socio-environmental impact, but also creating and committing to a sustainable and inclusive business model, aligned with our corporate values and business integrity standards,” said Facundo Castro, CEO, Cirion Technologies.
“Building on the foundations laid in our first report, we have made significant progress in key areas, demonstrating our commitment to integrating sustainability into all aspects of our operations.”
Cirion’s ESG commitments and achievements:
- Carbon footprint reduction: A 17% reduction in carbon footprint was achieved through strategic investments in renewable energy and optimization of telecommunications nodes and data centers.
- Increasing the use of renewable energy: Ciron increased the use of renewable energy from 40% to 62% over the past year, reinforcing our commitment to sustainability.
- Decarbonization plan: Ciron is actively working on defining a decarbonization roadmap and setting science-based reduction targets aligned with global climate goals.
- Scope 3 Baseline Calculation: We completed the Scope 3 baseline calculation as an independent company, covering the entire value chain, to better understand and manage indirect emissions.
- Diversity and Inclusion: Ciron promotes diversity and inclusion through mentorship programs and leadership development workshops, as well as empowering underrepresented groups.
- Ethics and Integrity: Ciron maintains a strong commitment to ethics and integrity, guided by strong corporate values, compliance and anti-corruption programs.
- Governance Structures: Ciron ensures strong governance structures to maintain the highest ethical standards and operate in a transparent and accountable manner.
