What would you describe as your most memorable achievement?

A memorable and recent achievement was my time spent on an exchange in Ottawa, Canada. Indeed, beyond all the achievements and potential business successes, the possibility of experiencing another culture and working with different people was highly exciting. This exchange helped me grow personally and professionally and I became more empathetic.

What first made you think of a career in technology?

I thought first about the high dynamic offered by the IT sector and all the potential future growth. It is a vast space with different sectors for different skills, allowing for a wide range of options and constant improvements.

What style of management philosophy do you employ in your current position?

We are all part of a mixed environment, internal and external, and without exception, we generate added value. So, we must, undoubtedly, nurture our empathy, make room for the different voices and hear them all.

Listening allows us to continue advancing in different areas with strength and the necessary respect.

What do you think is the current hot technology conversation topic?

Cloud and hybrid environments are two items that crop up continuously in conversations, even though not everyone is ready to work on these business models. Furthermore, it offers a change in consuming and perceiving technology. So, support for an intelligent, smooth and wide-ranging migration is welcome.

How do you deal with stress and relax outside of the office?

Stress comes from people with different demands, matching their realities and data. So, I intend to maintain a fluid and organized schedule for my workload and answer these various demands that may generate alarm.

Outside the office, one of the things that delights me most is traveling and continuing to get to know unfamiliar places, food and cultures. Even though we are on different journeys, we also must enjoy the pathway, not just the destination.

If you could go back and change one career decision, what would it be?

I think that always being very attentive to different professional profiles helps us make better decisions and helps us grow. Some of us have common goals; others may have very personal goals, so we must identify these.

What do you currently identify as the main investment areas in your industry?

Investment in experiences and how technology can be intelligent and integrated with the different channels and process flows – how users can consume them intuitively and from any environment. In the end, fortunately, the requirements of us as users have changed, which makes it possible to create new significant advances in the future.

What are the specific challenges of the region when implementing new technologies?

The ‘comfort’ of some existing technologies sometimes makes it more difficult for us to understand what we could achieve, conquer or improve within our tasks and expectations. We get used to what works efficiently. Still, we are simply ‘adapting’ in some cases. But also making intelligent investments allows us to go further, improving our experience and our results.

What changes have you seen in your job role in the last year and how do you think they will develop in the next 12 months?

The way of answering the requirements has changed, including how customers and users consume the different services, solutions and products. Indeed, this is the beginning of new cultures brought to the future. We are more demanding as users with the level of service, with more precise results and understanding the return on investment of technologies and experiences.

What advice would you give someone aspiring to a C-level position in your industry?

Look at your achievements and your impact as a member of an industry. As we manage the technology industry, we are helping to improve people’s experiences. Understanding this is key to knowing if more investments are necessary for new integrations if there is a need for more study about any development.
