The new solution allows customers to purchase tickets on the Urbanky website or application. It has already been tried out by the public at the Rock in Rio Festival.
Transportation is a top concern at large-scale events such as music festivals and soccer matches. To make life easier for those who go to these places, companies offer alternatives with complete service packages, which can get even better and easier with a new solution from Positivo.
The Brazilian hardware technology manufacturer started to offer the integration of its payment terminals to digital ticket sales solutions, with many facilities for the end-user.
The first partnership to make the project possible happened with Urbanky Payments, a company specializing in the customization and marketing of congresses, shows, workshops and online events. The solution was already tried out by the public at the Rock in Rio Festival, in September 2022.
Fernando Otani, Business Director of Payment Solutions, Positivo Technology, said: “One of our intelligent payment terminals, the Positivo L300, was used by the public to validate the transport tickets offered by Urbanky. From a single platform, our payment machines can integrate the app with the support of the development team and with certifications that guarantee greater security in financial transactions.”
In practice, Urbanky transport service customers gained the convenience of having a series of boarding points spread throughout Rio de Janeiro, with the comfort of automatically validating tickets at stations positioned on site, both to and from the rock festival.
In the case of Primeira Classe, customers using the service can access the festival from an exclusive entrance and not worry about parking, queues and other issues common to this type of situation.
Regarding hardware, the Positivo L300 intelligent payment terminals work with a five-inch display and have connectivity with mobile networks, accessibility by physical keyboards, physical readers and proximity options, and front and rear cameras for scanning codes. It also has a printer and magnetic loading connector that generates security and convenience at the point of sale.
“The partnership with Positivo Tecnologia represents an advantage for all involved, from the final consumer to the point of sale. Besides convenience, a differential is consumer safety, one of the most vital aspects for Urbanky. We want clients to have an excellent experience, without worries, so they can focus all their energy on the event they are going to”, said Vinicius Colonese, President, Urbanky Payments.
The pioneering partnership between Positivo Tecnologia and Urbanky is the first with this business model to be effectively implemented in the Brazilian market. However, the solution can be used in other initiatives that seek payment alternatives by a smart terminal, regardless of the payment purpose, whether by ticketing or POS management point.
Payment solutions are one of Positivo Tecnologia’s business diversification strategies. From the development and marketing of mobile and intelligent payment terminals, as well as a structure of services in hardware and software, it facilitates the strategy of companies, the routine of points of sale and the security of financial transactions.
