Intending to allow Peruvians access to high-quality services that help create economic development opportunities and improve citizens’ quality of life, the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC) published the updated National Frequency Allocation Plan (PNAF) for 2023 to receive comments and suggestions.
This update of the PNAF includes the necessary frequency bands for the development of mobile technologies such as 4G and 5G, high-altitude platforms (HAPS), use of white television spaces (TVWS), improvement of wireless coverage at home (WiFi-6E) and much more.
The PNAF contains tables of frequency allocation for the different telecommunications services in Peru so that they operate in frequency bands previously defined to ensure their operation and minimize the likelihood of interference.
This document is updated periodically in response to changes and evolution in the telecommunications market, technology and each World Radiocommunication Conference.
The PNAF has been modified 35 times since its approval in 2005.
The MTC reiterates its commitment to spectrum management to improve the quality of telecommunications services and guarantee access to the Internet in all areas of the country.
