Zain deploys Ericsson Radio Dot System in Bahrain

Ericsson and Zain have recently announced a partnership which will see Ericsson’s state-of-the-art Radio Dot System deployed in Bahrain. The solution is implemented in Zain’s new state-of-the-art Network Operation Centre. This is one of the first implementations in the region and demonstrates the solution’s ability to cater for the fast-growing demand for data traffic of the consumers.

The signing ceremony was attended by Scott Gegenheimer, CEO Zain Group, Mohammed Zainalabedien, CEO Zain Bahrain , Rafiah Ibrahim, President Ericsson Region Middle East, as well as other officials from both ends.

Ericsson’s Radio Dot System is the most cost-effective solution to improve mobile network performance inside buildings. It introduces a revolutionary antenna element, or “Dot,” weighing less than 300 grams and that is quick and easy to install. The solution is a game-changer, designed to support operators in consistently delivering a better user experience for both voice and data in the broadest range of enterprise buildings and public venues.

The solution will fully integrate with Zain’s network and provide seamless coverage for Zain’s consumer and enterprise customers in the broadest range of deployment scenarios. It will ensure consistent delivery of an excellent customer experience in voice and data services.
