Radixx International renews contract with flydubai

Radixx International, a provider of Software-as-a-Service delivery of cloud-based reservation and distribution systems for airlines, is pleased to announce that it has renewed its contract with flydubai, the Dubai-based carrier. The new agreement includes a license for flydubai to access and modify the Radixx Air source code.

Since launching its operations in 2009, flydubai has emerged as one of the fastest growing airlines in the Middle East. With a fleet of 47 Next-Generation Boeing 737-800 aircraft it has created a network of more than 90 destinations across the GCC, Africa, Caucasus, Central Asia, Europe and the Indian Subcontinent.

Operating more than 1,400 flights a week, flydubai offers more accessible and flexible travel services for business and leisure travelers to visit Dubai or connect onwards. flydubai has opened up 57 new routes that were previously underserved or did not have direct air links to Dubai.

Commenting on the announcement, flydubai’s CEO Ghaith Al Ghaith said, “With Radixx, not only do we have the ability to manage and customise the software systems, but it’s backed by reliable customer service. It also provides us with greater autonomy as we continue to expand our operations taking delivery of more aircraft and launching more routes.”

According to Ron Peri, Radixx International’s CEO, “We’re very pleased to continue working with flydubai. It is a very forward thinking and innovative airline, extremely well positioned for heightened success.” He continues, “flydubai is on the leading edge of the movement for airlines to take control of their own destinies by eliminating the constraint of ‘one size fits all’ software solutions. We likewise believe this is the wave of the future – airlines differentiating themselves by gaining control of their core software so the business can be as nimble and flexible as it desires.”

Ramesh Venkat, the CIO of flydubai believes the planned architecture will allow the best of breed systems to be integrated with the Radixx platform, easily scalable both in terms of functionality and volumes, resulting in enhanced customer experience and significant cost efficiencies.

Radixx’ CTO, Michael Barrera, states further that this agreement serves as confirmation that the Radixx platform has achieved the level of technological sophistication and robustness needed to support the largest and most complex airlines.
