Levtech Consulting has announced that it has been selected by Construction Development Company ( CDC) Group to implement Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3. The project aims to automate business functions and build a single operational platform across the Group.
CDC Group covers every link in the project value chain and offers products and services at the highest international level. With the capability to deliver the entire life cycle of any project, CDC has over 5,000 employees who work with customers to design, finance, build and operate a project.
CDC was looking for a comprehensive ERP that would facilitate the seamless flow of information between different departments and help in coordinating resources and activities across the organisation. Being a project-based firm, some of the key reasons for CDC to undertake this initiative was to optimise inventory costs, improve project controls and to have accurate data for decision making. They expect to go live with the solution by July 2016.
Levtech was chosen following an extensive evaluation process as they demonstrated the know-how and dedication for a successful implementation. “Any disconnect can cause operational inefficiencies and affect our organisational performance. Hence it is critical for businesses to gain insight to effectively control and manage every component of the operations like finance, project accounting, budget control, procurement, human capital and inventory management, with powerful dashboards and reporting”, said Peter Sholy, General Manager, CDC.
“Microsoft Dynamics is a comprehensive, end-to-end solution that highlights opportunities and insights to help contracting companies overcome challenges. At Levtech, we have a clear understanding of processes within project-based industries, and this has helped us leverage several unique features of Dynamics AX, such as the seamless interface with Microsoft Projects, powerful timesheet management, and deep automation of finance, supply chain and HR operations. We have also built critical, industry-specific features such as integration with an estimation tool like Candy CSS, integration with Primavera for resource scheduling and billing, subcontractor management with payment certificate process, budget control across the modules and project-related reports and dashboards. This will definitely help CDC maintain control over their projects and budgets, reduce costs, boost productivity and ultimately, achieve business growth,” added Sekhar Ramarao, Regional Manager, Consulting & Presales, Levtech Consulting.
