Oman Arab Bank receives award for cybersecurity practices

Oman Arab Bank has been presented with an award by Trend Micro recognising its outstanding cybersecurity practices

Oman Arab Bank (OAB) has been presented with an award recognising its outstanding cybersecurity practices. A ceremony organised by the bank, saw Trend Micro representatives handing out the award and certificates at the OAB Head Office.

Ghulam Basheer, Head of the IT Security Department at OAB, said: “Being a financial institution, security has always been our top priority. Businesses are subjected to all kinds of security threats and vandalism.

“Therefore, information which is considered to be the ‘life blood’ of businesses requires extensive protection. Our partner, Trend Micro, is the leader in the security domain and we have had the pleasure of teaming up as a strategic partner in this journey.”

The Customer Excellence Award for Outstanding Security Practices recognises companies that have shown prowess at handling classified information with integrity and reliability.
