BICSI to host second annual ACE Summit during GITEX 2018

BICSI President Jeff Beavers

BICSI, the global association advancing the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) community, will host its second annual ACE Summit in Dubai on Tuesday, at the Fairmont Dubai, concurrent with its participation in the 38th GITEX Technology Week.

The ACE Summit brings architects, consultants, and engineers together to share best practices and discuss trends and standards used in designing ICT infrastructure systems deployed in Smart Cities, data centres and other ICT-intensive projects.

“Just by looking around the MEA District – especially in Dubai – one can easily see that this is an area of robust growth and amazing technological advancement,” said BICSI President Jeffrey Beavers, RCDD, OSP, CFHP.

“With that growth comes a demand by businesses to adopt the latest ICT innovations for their buildings, connected cities and within the workplace itself, not only to meet the needs of their day-to-day activities, but also to remain competitive in today’s market.

“In order to remain technologically advanced, there must be a skilled workforce and standards in place that are able to meet business needs to keep technology current, accessible and seamlessly integrated. The ACE Summit provides an opportunity for exchange of ideas, experience and expertise for these industry professionals.”

The Summit will feature presentations and a panel discussion from experts on a range of topics including, ‘Turning Smart Cities into Safe Cities’, ‘Digital Disruption and Technology Trends, ‘How can MEP build an Efficient Communication Infrastructure’ and ‘Future-Proofing ICT Infrastructure.’

The event will be preceded by a pre-summit masterclass on ‘Availability vs Reliability and Choosing the Right Class of Data Centre.’
