ASBIS Middle East targets 20% growth in 2021

Hesham Tantawi, Vice President, ASIBIS Middle East.

Regional value-added distributor ASBIS Middle East, has announced that it is targeting 20% growth this year with its Middle East business.

The announcement comes as the regional VAD continues to witness its channel business start to pick up as lockdown restrictions begin to ease across the region.

Hesham Tantawi, Vice President, ASBIS Middle East and North Africa (MENA), said the company has noticed huge growth in the gaming, VAD and PC computing in recent years, even before the COVID-19 pandemic started. “With this steady growth, the channel industry is catching up and has even passed the other technology sectors. ASBIS Middle East has been in business in the region for over 22 years and knows the best way to convert the industry’s situation into opportunities.”

Tantawi added that ASBIS Middle East is a distributor of leading brands like AMD, Intel, Sapphire, AFOX, Seagate, Supermicro, Western Digital, TP-Link, Logitech and a few more will come in the portfolio soon. “This year we are aiming for a 20% growth compared to the predicted market growth of 8%. The reason for this is that ASBIS does business scientifically. We focus on the research of products or the technology we wish to implement and assure ourselves that we are picking the best one according to the needs and circumstances of the market,” he said. “We also work hard on educating team members and our channel partners to give them early access to the new technology. We also focus on customers mapping, alignment with key channel partners to ease information flow and channel their growth accordingly.”

According to Tantawi, behind every Digital Transformation initiative is a team of people who make it happen. “That’s why we’ve worked with a lot of technology tools and know the pros and cons of each in driving Digital Transformation,” he said. “We are glad that we have the best team who took the right decisions in the past, using our IT4 Profit System, training of team members and channel partners. This has enabled us today to have the best time for business as per the company’s vision
