Describe your current job role and a summary of the business model of your organisation?

Federico Pienovi is the Chief Business Officer and CEO for MENA at Globant. He is responsible for designing and executing the company’s growth strategy in Asia, the Middle East, and Oceania. As part of the top management team, he contributes to global strategic decisions to ensure continued success for the company.

Globant, a digitally-native company with over 30,000 employees across 33 countries, offers consulting services and develops digital solutions to delight clients worldwide, reinventing the IT industry with cutting-edge artificial intelligence.

What are your strengths and abilities that you bring to the above role?

Pienovi brings a unique blend of strategic vision and operational expertise to his role. With a keen understanding of regional and global technology landscapes, he builds high-performance teams and delivers innovative, best-in-class solutions. His background in software engineering fuels his passion for technology and digital innovation, enabling companies to reinvent how they connect with consumers and drive business growth.

As the former CBO for EMEA, he led Globant’s growth from 20 to 3,000 employees. As Managing Director for the US, he expanded the financial services business, gaining significant experience.

Please describe the expectations of the end customers that you address. What are their pain points today?

In today’s world, customers expect to be understood and experience minimal friction with technology. They seek highly personalised and seamless digital experiences from brands that truly understand their lifestyles and preferences. End consumers aren’t interested in AI for its own sake; they want practical solutions that simplify their lives.

As organisations strive to evolve and accelerate their digital transformation, they face the challenge of meeting these rising expectations while anticipating future needs. Organisations need the right partner to transform business processes and industries through technology. This partnership enables the creation of solutions that foster brand engagement and loyalty, ultimately enhancing the customer experience.

Which generic technologies and innovations can make a difference to your end customers business?

Artificial Intelligence stands at the forefront, enabling organisations to gain insights from vast amounts of data, automate processes, and deliver personalised customer experiences. Globant has incorporated AI throughout its organisation since 2013 as an industry pioneer to create best-in-class solutions that deliver real value to clients.

However, AI is not the only transformative technology. Several other technologies are reaching maturity and seeing wider adoption by organisations and consumers. Spatial computing enhances users’ interactions with digital environments, while embedded AI and robotics streamline operations and improve efficiency.

Large Language Models and Small Language Models offer advanced natural language processing capabilities, enabling more intuitive and effective communication and data analysis. These innovations collectively drive business growth and enhance the customer experience by making technology more accessible and impactful.

How can a channel partner in your industry disrupt the regional market and gain a leading competitive position?

Globant seeks partners to enhance its integration solutions across major enterprise platforms like Microsoft, Salesforce, AWS, Google Cloud, ServiceNow, SAP, and Adobe. By leveraging Globant’s Studio Network, partners can access proven accelerators and AI-driven solutions.

Disrupting the regional market involves moving away from traditional companies’ outdated coding methods and embracing cloud-based, clean-core approaches. With unique integrations and comprehensive strategic services, channel partners can drive transformative change, setting new industry standards.

Which non-competitive business in the region do you admire for its innovative usage of technology?

Pienovi is greatly impressed by the innovative use of technology in Formula 1. Globant has been working closely with the F1 team over the last few months as their official partner for digital acceleration; much like Tesla, Formula 1 leverages cutting-edge technology to drive performance and efficiency. Their integration of advanced telemetry, data analytics, and AI to optimise car performance and race strategy is truly impressive.

Formula 1’s ability to combine entertainment with technological innovation is a standout example of how technology can transform and elevate an industry. He is excited to see how this new partnership will evolve, as Globant will develop solutions to enhance team performance and create unique digital-first experiences for fans.

Which aspects of your job role do you find rewarding and which are challenging?

The most rewarding part of Pienovi’s role is witnessing the positive social impact of projects aligned with Vision 2030, fostering talent development, sustainable progress, and economic growth. Working with a diverse and talented team is equally fulfilling. The most challenging aspect is keeping up with rapid technological advances, which require adaptability and quick decision-making for business leaders.

How do you best like to de-stress and re-charge after work?

As a good Argentinean, Pienovi’s passion for football provides the perfect escape to de-stress and recharge. Additionally, he loves participating in various sports and spending quality time with family and friends, offering a balance between relaxation and connection.
