EMC Middle East has announced that Habib Mahakian has been appointed Vice President for EMC operations in Gulf and Pakistan to lead and drive the company’s business strategy across these high growth markets.
The announcement comes as EMC continues to focus on establishing an experienced and qualified leadership team to continue to direct and lead EMC’s innovation roadmap to meet the needs of both public and private sector enterprises in the region.
With over 25 years of experience in the region’s fast evolving IT industry, Mahakian has played an instrumental role in driving core customer and channel relationships, firmly establishing EMC’s leadership position in the region.
Over his successful 14 year career at EMC, he has assumed a number of strategic roles including that of Regional General Manager for the Gulf and Pakistan responsible for effectively rolling out EMC’s strategic roadmap to help customers transform business through IT innovation. Under his leadership, EMC has successfully expanded its market leadership and won a number of accolades including an esteemed position in the Top 15 places to work in the UAE by the Great Place to Work For Institute two years in a row.
Mahakian will be based out of EMC’s regional headquarters in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and will report directly to Mohammed Amin, Senior Vice President for Turkey, Eastern Europe, Africa and the Middle East (TEEAM region).
