Parallels Remote Application Server to be demoed at GITEX

emt Distribution, a value added distributor, announced that it will demo Parallels Remote Application Server (RAS) at its GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK booth (B2-6 in Hall 2), Oct. 18-22 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

Parallels RAS is a solution to deliver applications and virtual desktops to any device or operating system. The 35th GITEX has grown to be one of the most influential tech events on the planet with over 3,900 exhibitors, 143,000 visitors, 2000 c-level executives, from 144 countries across the globe.

“Today IT departments, ISVs, MSPs, SMBs, governments and universities are struggling to support the growing variety devices employees use – from PCs to Macs, Chromebooks, iPads, iPhones, and Android tablets and phones,” said Mohammad Mobasseri, emt Distribution’s CEO. “That’s why Parallels will be in our GITEX booth to demo its industry leading Parallels RAS solution which enables businesses to quickly and affordably provide employees virtual desktops and applications for all of these devices so they can be more productive from anywhere.

Businesses can save time and a significant amount of money by using Parallels RAS, which can be installed and running in less than 15 minutes. Instead of purchasing new hardware to replace old Windows XP PCs that can’t run Windows 10, Parallels RAS enables old PCs to access and run the latest OSes, including Windows 10. It enables IT departments to support BYOD without having to set up each device. Parallels RAS is also the world’s first solution that enables Raspberry Pi, the $50 mini-computer, to become a Windows workstation that can be accessed from any device.

“Parallels RAS gives IT departments flexibility, choice and the ability to easily support new infrastructure, new device types and delivery methods. It is feature rich and secure, as well as extremely easy to use and manage without requiring dedicated resources and teams to support. Parallels RAS also has the lowest acquisition cost and total cost of ownership (TCO) which is often 50-75% lower than the cost of other solutions,” added Mobasseri.
