PagerDuty has formally announced the appointment of Eric Johnson as CIO.
Industry veteran Johnson will lead Information Technology and CIO Community Engagement for the global leader in digital operations management.
Johnson brings a wealth of leadership experience to PagerDuty, overseeing the company’s critical IT infrastructure, data management and enterprise systems. He will be part of PagerDuty’s leadership team and will report to Chief Technology Officer Tim Armandpour.
Johnson served as CIO at SurveyMonkey for four years. There, he was instrumental in establishing a culture of technical excellence and business impact. He was responsible for business systems, collaboration infrastructure, enterprise data and security.
Before SurveyMonkey, Johnson held CIO and Senior Vice President roles at both DocuSign and Talend. He also spent 12 years at Informatica, where he drove the vision and strategy for global offshore support and delivery and laid the groundwork for the company’s migration to a Software-as-a-Service platform.
Johnson said: “As a long-time PagerDuty customer I’ve been impressed with the business and technical challenges the PagerDuty Operations Cloud solves for me as a CIO. PagerDuty understands the needs of CIOs and CTOs today and I’m delighted to work for a company that is dedicated to protecting revenue, reducing operating costs and mitigating the risk and costs associated with major operational failures.”
