Ushio appoints Takabumi Asahi as CEO of Christie

Takabumi Asahi is the new CEO of Christie Digital Systems USA – succeeding Koji Naito.

The appointment has been confirmed by Christie’s parent company Ushio – a recognized leader in light sources and optical equipment for industrial processes, visual solutions and life sciences.

Asahi previously served as CEO and CFO of Ushio.

Since joining Ushio in 2017 as Deputy General Manager, his responsibilities at the company have continued to grow. Prior to that date, he worked for Oki Electric Industry, a Japanese information and communications company, where Asahi gained experience in global business management in a number of high-tech fields including Information Technology, telecommunications and office automation.

Overall, Asahi brings to his new role thirty years of experience as a senior executive to his new role.
