The new data centre will deliver up to 84MW of critical power with construction consistent with 2029 net zero corporate commitment
Sabey Data Centers, a premier designer, builder and operator of multi-tenant data centres, has announced the completion of the first building of its new data centre campus in Round Rock, Texas.
The 430,000-square-foot facility showcases Sabey’s commitment to reliability, security, connectivity and sustainability. SDC Austin is designed to maximise available data centre space while maintaining a minimal construction footprint, enhancing scalability for deployment of all sizes.
The Round Rock data centre campus incorporates the latest innovations in data centre technology and infrastructure and will offer up to 84MW of critical power capacity upon completion. The facility is designed to support liquid cooling and high-density computing environments with capabilities of up to 200kW per cabinet.
The campus has already attracted two large liquid cooling deployments/customers, including the Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC). TACC will house Horizon, the largest academic supercomputer dedicated to open-scientific research in the National Science Foundation’s portfolio, at Sabey’s new campus.
“With our new Round Rock campus, Sabey reinforces its position as an industry leader delivering world-class data centre facilities,” said Rob Rockwood, President of Sabey Data Centers. “This investment in the Austin market provides enterprises and hyperscalers with sustainable, secure and highly connected capacity to scale their digital operations.”
Jeffrey Kanne, President and CEO of National Real Estate Advisors and Vice Chairman of Sabey Data Centers, said: “We are very pleased to announce the expansion of the SDC portfolio with the completion of the first building on our Austin data centre campus. The development of state-of-the-art facilities, such as SDC Austin, reflects our strategic commitment to investing in dynamic industries, capitalising on sustainable opportunities and striving to deliver strong returns to our clients.”
The SDC Austin data centre campus is strategically located in the technology hub of the South, making it an ideal choice for businesses seeking a reliable and secure environment. The campus’s advanced design and connectivity options position it as a premier data centre destination for enterprise and cloud providers.
Prioritising energy-efficient design elements, SDC Austin is a key component of Sabey’s commitment to achieving net zero carbon emissions across all operations by 2029.
