Carlyle names Lúcia Soares as CIO and Head of Technology Transformation

Lúcia Soares is now CIO and Head of Technology Transformation at global investment firm Carlyle – driving the firm’s global technology strategy and leading the firmwide Global Technology Solutions organization.

Starting her career working for early Internet professional services agency USWeb / marchFIRST, Soares has over 25 years of experience in strategic technology leadership roles, serving as CIO of Global Portfolio Solutions at Carlyle since 2021.

Prior to joining Carlyle in 2019, Soares was a Managing Director at Health2047 having spent 15 years at Johnson and Johnson, serving in a variety of executive roles.

As CIO and board member of multiple high-growth medical device businesses, she created technology strategies to grow and optimize businesses with the use of technology.
